I have a theory on the bells in the background.

Theory 1: The bells may be queues for when to put up your screen and when to put it back down.

Theory 2: I thought I heard the bells ring faster in different parts of the game. I have two theories in one because of this increase:
- A warning that something is in the vents
-A warning that one of the animatronics is coming (specifically Freddy or Foxy 2)

No, he means the ambience which plays when the animatronics are in the air vents or the party rooms 1 or 2, it signifies the animatronics are close.
