Free Screen Recording Software for FNAF?
I am trying to find a software to record gameplay of me attempting Night 7 on 20/20/20/20 mode (I am currently on Night 6, so I am really close) so that in the event I ever beat it, I will have video footage of it.

However, I can't find any good recording softwares. I have tried OBS, Bandicam, Hypercam, Camtasia, and others.
The main problem with all of them is that when I start recording on my desktop screen it works good, but when I open FNAF, the recording software just goes black. When I watched the footage, it just turned dark when I clicked on the game.

Does anyone know of a free software I can use it record gameplay of FNAF?

Did you open Bandicam first, begin recording, and then open FNAF, or some other way?
When I started recording first, and then opened FNAF, like I said, the recording was just black.

Well. First I opened bandicam.
I launched the game. and used f12 to start recording.
Here Do this.
Open Bandicam.
Open the game
f12 on the menu screen.

I did exactly that. However, whenever I pressed F12, it took a screenshot (which was pretty annoying), and when I went to view the footage, it was just a white screen... Does anyone know how to fix this?

You might be recording a windowed version, try clicking on the little game icon, and clicking on FNAF should automatically lock the recording to that, it sometimes doesn't in some cases, so I would always check so you dont record crap footage.

Each time I have done it, I use the rectangle-on-the-screen thing. If I click on the game icon, it won't let me record. Whenever I press the record button, a message pops up, saying:

"You can't start recording in 'DirectX/OpenGL' window because the target window is not selected.

Do you want to change the recording mode to 'Rectangle on a screen' to start recording?"

So how can I record while clicking on the game icon, if I have to go on "Rectangle on a screen" mode?

Try Hypercam 2. It's free.

The person I was asking questions to earlier records FNAF with Bandicam, so they must know. I don't know why they are not responding.

I already tried Hypercam. It didn't work.

So, I figured out that I think the problem was that I had the free version of Bandicam, and I guess it works best with the one you have to pay for.

I also tried OBS, but apparently I didn't have DirecX 10.

Does anyone else have some other idea for a software? I already beat Night 6, but I don't want to attempt Night 7 on 4/20 mode until I get a working software...

Seriously, can someone reply...

Why haven't I gotten any answers anymore? This isn't a hard question. All I'm doing is asking for any recommendations for a free recording software...

Sorry bro. I tried OBS too, but it made is so laggy. Try the free version of FRAPS. It works good for me, but the file is really big so it takes a while to upload.
