yeah if you read my previous thread I'm not a big fan of the games but if you like them its fine with me but nonetheless i am disturbed that little kids are playing these games for starters there horror games I'm not very scared by those jumpscares but 9 year olds should be and of course some trolls are gonna say why do you care or why does it matter the reason i care is because kids should not be playing these games not like 16 year olds i mean LITTLE KIDS like 9 or 8 year olds i mean would you show a kid friday the 13th or a nightmare on elm street i mean it just docent feel right anyway the games aren't the worst and you have full right to like them but little kids are another story any share your opinions below :special::special::special:

To be honest, I don't really mind if kids of that age play it.
If they see this game online, buy it then play it, and they get scared, it's their own fault.
Anyways, by that age they should know whether something is fictional or not.
The lack of interpunction in that wall of text doesn't leave a good impression.

With that out of the table, movies like Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street (especially that one) are - disregarding what many people think - essentially meant for younger audience anyway (12+). Maybe not 8-9 (although they'll try to watch it too - I know I did), but still a young viewer.
Yeah, there are many intelligent horrors out there targeted at adult audience or movies that are really unsuitable for children to watch (like Salò for example), but movies like Nightmare on Elm Street are really meant for kids/young teens - although you won't read about it in the official pamphlets.

I'm no psychologist (although a child's psychological developement and the impact of media on it was partly the topic of my graduation thesis in college), but this game isn't really showing any explicit violence or anything that could damage an average child's developement, change their understanding of the world or leave any long-term images in their heads - worst case scenario is a sleepless night or two (or a wet bed lol). And that might even be a good thing - to explore the different emotions, get to know your own reactions to seek out or avoid a content like this in the future. Damn right they should be scared. But there are safe scares (like rollercoasters or this game) and unsafe ones (jumping out of the way of the train the very last minute - or watching Salò).

Of course, as with every generalization, this cannot be generalized to every single kid out there - the same as with rollercoaster accidents - there might exist rare exceptions where the experience from this game might trigger something in them indeed, but I believe it's very rare and those individuals won't seek games like this to begin with. I don't believe it ever happened and that it will happen.

So I think it's ok for kids to play this - if they want to. As long as it doesn't have multiplayer with a voice-chat.

Uhh, no, I think he's hinting that PewDiePie has the psychology of a 9 year old.

No, kids got FNaF because they watched PewDiePie play it.

But he does have the psychology of a 7 year old
correction he has the psycology of a 2 year old.

The game itself isn't very violent or gory. Of course we know it happens. but you never see it. So the game is kid friendly in my opinion. The worst it could do it give them nightmares. But that is at their or their parent's own risk. On the other hand, I don't think the movie will be very kid friendly. I am assuming it will cover the backstory "VISUALLY". In that case it will probably be a little too much for 8-9 year olds xD. I mean it probably won't be like silent hill or anything, but still... Maybe like a toned down mix between The Grudge and Resident Evil, disturbance and violence-wise.

Young teens are really fit to play this game and maybe 8/9 year olds, but anything younger can only watch because they aren't old enough and delete the horror from the horror game since they have wild imaginatations and see freddy and his gang as how real animals look and think they are friendly and will probably just laugh at the jump scare.

8 and up don't have this imagination and that's why we see the animatronics as creepy. So for nine and eight year olds the worst that can happen with this horror game is nightmares for a week since they are just scratching the surface of becoming a preteen.

Fnaf is a good teen horror game it hardly has any gore at all I mean the worst you can see is the eyes poped out of the mask. No fnaf horror game (1-4) will have gore since Scott is Christian. This game may have intense jumpscares (depending on which game) but is really fine for 12 and up and maybe for 8 and 9 year olds and is actually a geat game.

I have all of the games so far...

In fact i'm playing fnaf right now...

Actually, there is one thing closer to actual gore than eyes popping out of the Freddy suit and it's in FNAF3, so spoilers... Purple Guy's death.. aka the pixaleted blood and gore.

I kinda dislike how everyone ever seem to think children and teens are idiots who cannot process certain content. The truth is many is probably more jaded to this sort of content than the older generations. Show someones grandparents a mortal combat fatality and they will freak out. Show the same to a youngster of today and they will not even blink. That being said, this game scared the pants out of me, I can only imagine what it will do to a 9 year old. This game might not be gory, but it is far more scary than any gory horror game I have ever played. Personally I have never been able to play more than one night at a time because playing just makes me that paranoid and jumpy.
