I think the "check lights, check freddy and foxy, repeat" method is a little, well, non-efficient. I have been at it for weeks and I am still stuck.

Check lights, check Freddy and Foxy, Repeat is a strategy that works wonders in Night 6 actually. You're just doing it wrong somehow. I don't have footage of your gameplay, so I don't know what you're doing wrong exactly. Maybe you're just too slow at executing the pattern. Use sound at your advantage against Bonnie and Chica as their footsteps can easily be heard outside of your office when they're nearby. Foxy doesn't care which camera you look at to slow him down. You can actually win by simply only checking Freddy, as Foxy's movement cooldown will be affected too; still check on him from time to time. Freddy will never back off, except for East Hall Corner if he finds your door closed when he tries to get in. That way, he'll fall back to East Hallway, but will shortly come back at the Corner.

Now, question time: who kills you, usually?

I always use the following tactic and it seems to work-
Check the left hall light
Check the right hall light
Check the left hall light
Check Freddy
Check Foxy
Check Freddy

-REPEAT-

you just have to be fast, check each light for no longer than a second, check freddy as often as possible and he will never move

Ignore Foxy. He's not so bad. What I did was constantly check Freddy to keep him as far as possible. I survived night six without him even getting to the bathrooms. He didn't move that frequently, and when I checked Foxy, he wasn't so active. You don't actually have to even constantly check Foxy. The idea behind that is to see where he's at so he doesn't get you, but other than that, you don't actually have to look at pirate cove all the time. I checked the lights for Bonnie and Chica (obviously), kept Freddy as far as possible by checking mostly only him, and only occasionally checked Foxy.
