In case you are still wondering, I don't have an exact number but I believe his laugh will be much louder when he is right outside your door.

He laughs 5 times.

Freddy laughs when he moves, so he goes:
Show Stage-> Dining Area-> Restrooms->
Kitchen-> East hall-> East Hall Corner.
If he laughs a sixth time while the door is closed, he has gone back to East Hall (and if he laughs after that he will be back in East Hall Corner), however, if he laughs while the door is open, he is most likely in The Office, and will jumps care you at any point.
