Why does the ESC button immediately exit the game?

My natural inclination is to hit escape to exit the camera view. Sometimes I accidentally hit it when I'm trying to do quick moves... I forget.

in a normal game esc will pauls the game but in one time i pushed esc it paulsed it but that was one time ONLY

It's hysterical when people complain about this. The Esc quit function isn't a problem. All the main menu needs is a label saying 'You cannot pause. Escape will quit the game'...

...just like how people need a label on microwavable food products telling them that 'Food will be hot' because someone somewhere did the stupid.

Dear OP (and to anyone else this may concern) : Don't do the stupid. Stop pressing the Escape key. It's not hard.
