Five Nights at Freddy's

I don't understand Freddy ;-;
The other animatronics are easy to deal with. Bonnie and Chica you close the door when they're at the left and right respectively. Foxy just keep an eye on him and block him when necessary. But I don't understand Freddy.

Here's what I do know:
- Each time Freddy laughs, he moves
- He moves in this order: Stage, Restrooms, Kitchen, East Hall, East Corner, Repeat/Kill
- He isn't seen where Bonnie and Chica are seen, but on the corner of the camera

Here's what i don't know:
- What does he do after he's repeated? The order doesn't match up afterwards.
- Is there any way to NOT drain all your battery while he camps at your door?

Help???

aren't you supposed to watch him on the stage so that he stays there?

no, thats foxy. you check on him periodically so he doesnt dip

as for OP the reason you close your doors is so he doesnt move whenever and go in, but you *can* keep them open until he moves, its just a lot more of a guess on whether hes in or not

Actually, Steve is correct. You need to check Freddy as well, not just Foxy.
Here are some tips that helped me deal with him;
- Keep an eye on Freddy in order to prevent him from leaving the stage. Whenever Freddy is about to move, he will be turned towards the camera - staring directly at you. If you don't catch his movement in time, he will leave the stage.
- Listen to Freddy's laugh and count them (to keep track on where he is). He laughs when he moves. If he laughs five times and the right door is open, it's game over.
- Freddy will move slower as long as the camera is on him. Before you back away from the monitor, leave the camera set on Freddy. If he manages to get to the East Hall Corner, you can leave the camera on 4B. Doing this will freeze Freddy in place, which prevents him from getting inside the office.
- Unlike the others, Freddy won't retreat to the dining area. Instead, he will either remain in the East Hall Corner (4B) or just go back to East Hall (4A) if his attempt to get inside the office fails. If Freddy is lurking around outside the office, you need to close the right door every time you want to check on Foxy (and then change the camera back to Freddy) or choose the more safer option; keep the door closed for the rest of the night. Naturally, leaving the door closed will drain a lot of power, which is why it's important to prevent Freddy from leaving the stage and using the cameras against him.

Lastly, a reminder; don't bother following Bonnie and Chica on the cameras. It's just wasting power. Only use the cameras to check on Freddy and Foxy.

I did some research earlier (and was able to beat night 5), and Steve is actually correct on that. Freddy doesn't move while you have him on cameras, so watching him helps a LOT, since once he's at the right door he just goes back to the right hallway if he backs off. Plus Foxy is slowed down by ANY camera, so watching one of them helps against both of them.

This is actually how you beat custom night btw. Let Freddy get to the right hall corner and essentially just keep the cameras on him eternally. This works because Foxy's movement is based on camera usage and not by looking at the pirates cove camera. So to break it down simply, you can beat night 7 by letting Freddy get to the corner and keeping the camera on him since Foxy will mostly not move at all as long as you are using the cameras. Once Freddy is in the right hall corner (usually around 96% to 95% power used with the camera open,) start getting into the rhythm of checking a door light, opening the cameras then immediately putting them back down, then checking the other door light. Basically just do this for the rest of the night and it should keep enough power to let you survive until the end of 5AM. You will probably get a blackout before the night end but it isn't a big deal. If you are nervous about Foxy and want to check his position still, my general rule of thumb is to check him every time Chica shows up at your door, this way you aren't having to close the door an extra time just to prevent only Freddy from getting in, and wasting more power than needed. Just be quick about it to prevent a death from Bonnie. This is a process where every action you make throughout the night shouldn't take any longer than a second.
