If he's expecting THAT, he's not getting it from anyone here.
I like scary stuff that manages to be scary. But this? Oh my you've got to be kidding me. They're the farthest thing from scaring me. My sister spooking me with a loud BOO from behind is scarier than this.
Not to mention that seeing Slendy would give you a sense of dread, you don't know who the hell is that thing. The dolls however are just things that go fun at day. Slendy makes the dolls look like one elaborate joke that failed.
Yes. They don't have anything scary about them. And the idea is idiotic; why doesn't the security guard run away and save us from playing this failure of a joke?
You afraid of dolls? How childish.
There is literally NO way to accurately describe one persons experiences and feelings towards something and then expect everyone else realistically to share those...because thats not how the mind or the human psyche works.
It's a case of 'It just happens for some folks' is really the BEST and most accurate answer you can actually expect...it's not the most developed or popular answer, but it is the most valid and the most applicable one when dealing with something that tends to be unique from person to person, such as triggers for fear and dread.
And that doesn't make ANYONE lesser than the other...we're all different, big deal.
Stop acting like an overbearing knowitall and just accept that people see things differently.
I've never played past the second night because I've yet to purchase the full game.
Different things scare different people.
The thing that scares people in this game is that childhood fear of animatronics, a fun place (like Chuck E.Cheese) having something sinister going on, and the threat of a jumpscare. Let's start with the animatronics, they're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ creepy on their own... but then again what animatronic isn't creepy on their own. They look like something out of the uncanny valley, with them not looking natural in the slightest (Jesus Christ, who the ♥♥♥♥ gives a duck teeth), the way they move around and what's implyed their doing makes your mind do most of the work. Making you think of the most unnatrual ♥♥♥♥ that these things could be doing.
Next is the whole sinsiter thing going on. I don't know about you, but schools, theme parks, and other places for "kids", I always thought that there was something not right about them. In school there were plenty of ghost stories told around the playground, things like a kid who got killed by a crocidile in a pit nearby and he drags people into there at night if they come to close, the fact that Bloody Mary haunts the girls bathroom, or that the Chuck E. Cheese mascots come to life at night and kill any kids who stay there after dark. It's stupid, but since you're a kid you believe it no matter how stupid it is. And that's the fun in it, and the fun that the game captures, taking something childish and putting a creepy spin on it.
Finally the most effective thing in the game, the threats of the jumpscare and what's being implied. You're constantly looking at the cameras and checking doors, hoping to God you didn't ♥♥♥♥ up and let them inside the room. You're hoping that they don't pop out when you put down your camera, or when you open the doors. Why do you think Foxy is the most popular? The threat of his jumpscare is the most known, keep an eye on him but don't watch him 24/7 or he'll get you. Freddy is least known, because he only comes to kill you on special occasions. The rest are there to make you constantly on your guard, and they always get you when you least expect it. Then there's what they do when they catch you, I mean getting forcefully crushed into a creepy ass suit is a terrible way to go, then getting stared down by some faceless jackass in a suit.
Here is where I'll go off topic and rant about the Slenderman:
Really Slendy isn't all that interesting in his game format. In Slender, he's used as a lazy excuse to jumpscare you, it works at first but soon it gets boring because he does the same tricks. Always appear behind or infront, as long as you keep an eye on him you'll be fine. It would work better if there was more then one monster coming after you, all using different tactics similar to Five Night's at Freddy's. If they tossed in The Rake to chase you throughout the map, and used Slendy as a presence (Like he's the one running the show, and the rest of the monsters were his minions) I can assure you that his game wouldn't have died long after the LP'ers got bored. See, in FNAF Freddy is used as a presence, as something to be feared. Freddy rarely comes after you, until you prove yourself as a threat to him, then he starts breaking the rules and making his own, stripping you of security you felt before since you're out of control now, Freddy runs the show not you.
If Slender or it's sequel did this, I think it would've made for a scarier game. With
Because Slendy can teleport to you outside of the wood. And ugh, why doesn't he call the police and tell them there were dead security guards? Heh heh heh. And no, don't say I can call the police for Slendy because he can teleport and disappears, but the dolls? They are freaking robots. Destroy them. That's how easy these suckers are!
Afraid of a robot you can destroy as opposed to a tall man with tentacle hands from his bed and an enormous tall who can teleport away from your attacks and counterattack? Oh my.
Just bigass metal doors, some poor lights and a camera with poor visibility.
