How would the doors in fnaf 1 logically work?
Basically Wouldn't the doors being up be what drains power rather then them being down,
and when the power goes out wouldn't the doors slam down rather then staying up.

I understand why in game is like this, but still would a door system like that even be possible
and if so why would it even be installed?
Idk just something that's been on my mind lately.

The door go down and up, simple.

yes but wouldn't it being up be more likely to drain more power than it being down technically?

Maybe the doors drain power when they are down because there might me pistons that keeps pressing it in case an animatronic tries to open the door. I think this is why doors drain power and animatronics never try to open the door.
But I have no idea why doors open when power goes out.

I imagine the doors would go up when the power runs out for safety reasons? Say something knocks the power out and you have to leave; Instead you would be stuck there.

gameplay reasons?

Maybe they accidently broke the universe while installing doors? idk
prob just the employees letting the toddlers build it

Those doors have fail-safes, it's about a computer or some other machine checking if they're closed or not, so in case the power goes out, the nightguard wont be stuck in there for 6 hours.
Hydraulics maybe, but I might be stupid

It's just not logical in the slightest. I'm trying to be nice to Scott but it's not logical.

Maybe some sort of hydrolic machine, but that's still highly unlikely. I don't know. That whole pizzeria pretty much runs off of AA batteries anyway. I'd just say that it's probably a mechanic that Scott put into the game because it looks nice. Also, why would an animatronic lean over and try to pull it up? I don't know exactly how it works. I'm just assuming Scott put it in the game because it looked right and he thought that it was cool.
