- Go to the games directory, change the file named Launcher to something like LauncherOld... whatever you want it to be (of course after you've made your changes with the launcher - or just go into the folder and launch this again to make adjustments in the futrure - although after this mod it probably wont launch the game properly because we are going to move some files around).
- Now go into the DATA folder and copy everything in there (or cut so that nothing is left when you are done - I kept my files in here btw)
- Paste everything back into the main directory where the LauncherOld file was
- Change the Odallus.exe to Launcher.exe
that should do it. I've not tested this extensively... but if the game interally calls to the data folder for any reason, i could see this causing issues. However, in my quick test, it launched fine, read the strings from the language folder just fine, and was able to read and write to the save file I had before I made the changes. It's a short game apperently, so if this breaks it, im sure I'll find out sooner than later. I personally wouldn't leave the DATA folder empty for greater compatibilty... but I'm not even sure that matters.
The last step is for the devs... if you're listening. Just officially give us the option in an update. Options are cool.
It was fun making it work though...
By the way, I love the game so far! Great job.
