random menu freezing

Whenever I leave the game unattended for a minute or two on the main menu, or the in-between level menu, it freezes. I can shut the game down with ALT + F4, and it reboots just fine.

OS: Windows 8.1
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 970
Processor: Intel i7-4790k

Thanks for providing detailed info about the bug you're experiencing. It's the first we hear of such an issue with the main menu. We'll look into it.

How often would you say it happens? Have you noted any sequence of events leading to the freeze?

I have not noticed it any sequences, except letting it idle on menu screens. It happens fairly realibily, I'd say 60% of the time.
