I never saw the "mysterious" phone number in the fishing shack and now the shack has exploded. Now Freddie won't give me the note for the hot pack and I can't go down Avalanche Trail because the events won't trigger. Help!

I don't recall there being a phone number found in the fishing shack. It may be something else that triggers that note from Freddie. What have you done up to this point in the game?

Years ago I had a very similar problem. I suspect it's why this game was ported to the Wii.

You still need to catch a 2-foot northern pike. The ice fishing gear in the shack is ruined, but someone else in the lodge probably has a set you can use! (hint: It's Ollie, ask Ollie)
If that doesn't work, try talking to each guest and entering and exiting some guests' rooms. You might be able to trigger some new events that way.
I've played this game something like 20 times, so let me know if you have further questions or are still stuck.
