Figured it out. Having Data Execution Prevention turned on was causing the problem. Works fine with it off.

Ok, I'm glad it was an easy fix!

Don't think DEP is the sole cause, I'm getting freeze/crash at launch as well.

EDIT: Tried to install OAL via another support thread here, just in case. Still nothing. Isn't crashing anymore, but still won't start, it freezes hard on launch. Have to kill it in task manager.

Sacheverell, is there a file called error_log.txt or minidump.dmp in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Magicmaker? If so please email them to tastystewdios AT gmail DOT com or post it here, whichever is most convenient for you.

Today's update(v1.0.2) has fixed this. You may have to restart steam to get the patch.

Please let me know if it continues to happen.
