Shift to discard documents?

I was playing through this game and can't state enough how much I enjoy typing games! Though I did end up getting confused with the "shift to discard corrupt documents" part of the game. How is it supposed to work?

Holding shift just kind of darkens the background and brightens the word but it didn't seem to make the word go away or anything. I just ended up typing the obviously wrong word to get passed it but these ended up slowing me down in the CEO battle. Are you supposed to hold shift while you type the word or something? Or just hold shift and hope the word goes away? Even when I did type out the wrong word it made the mistake sound.

Okay, I may have figured it out since I didn't get the error sound anymore. Apparently you do have to type out the weird word but as long as you hold shift before you complete the word, it won't ding against you. It doesn't seem as if you need to hold shift the whole time either. I figured this out and I managed to beat the CEO easy!

Yeah you have to type the wrong words too to discard them. This is supposed to be the challenge for managers. Might not have been the best or most intuitive idea. But there is nothing preventing you from pressing shift at the last moment.
