(I SOLVED IT FINALLY) X-TRAP problem (download was not completed)

Hi all, i had the problem of the starting bug on Steam launch so i followed the solution with MaRepair. After that I found my MaLauncher and I launched it (with Admin privileges too) but when i click "Start Game" it shows up to me this message:

then it closes the application and i can't play the game

My Firewall didnt' found any X-Trap application
My Antivirus is Microsoft Security Essentials
Tried to reinstall the game via Steam - it didnt' work
Tried to run MaRepair multiple times - it didn't work


If anyone of you have this problem (or if you have a solution) post here.

What's your current OS? There are some rare version of windows that it doesn't support, which could cause your issues.

Is the windows 8.0 or Windows 8.1 a rare windows?
Most users use Windows 7, Windows 8.0 or 8.1
So is any of those versions rare.

@sofficino2007, do a validate file now as there was a small update few minutes ago that it fixed an issue that we had with Steam maybe it fixed your problem too.

Hi astrea, now my Steam Play button works and shows me the new Hazard Ops Start Window, clicking "Start Game" it gives me the same problem of X-TRAP download was not completed.

I runned the Steam Cache Verification (downloaded one file), it shows up the X-TRAP error after clicking "Start Game".

I runned the MaRepair again (with admin privileges), It shows up the X-TRAP error after clicking start game from the MaLanucher.

And there is no X-TRAP files or folders in the Hazard Ops folder in Steamapps (I actually don't know if any X-TRAP files have to be here), It just looks like neither Steam nor MaRepair want to download anything about X-TRAP, hope this description could help you to figure out the problem.

@sofficino2007, that is strange because I just looked now in my Hazard Ops file and it has a sub-file called XTrap which includes all the necessary files.

Do try and totaly remove the game from your computer and then re-download it as also check if your antivirus and/or firewall doesn't allow the XTrap to be downloaded.

If nothing of the above works then better submit a ticket to their Customer Support about this problem. I do apologies for not been able to help you more.

No problem astrea maybe there is something that my computer doesn't allow to downoload, if I solve it i will post something here, thank you all for the help.

Update, I get the same error also in the site download version, looks like X-TRAP doesn't want to enter in my PC, Firewall was disabled

So i solved it, try this:

Dowload the dll, go in the Hazard Ops folder
go in UnrealEngine3
Binaries
Win32
put the file there
It solved it for me
