I can't seem to get the jetpack to work without blowing up. Any tips?

I was having trouble launching games 16-20 for years and finally figured it out. Go to Documents and locate the folder for the game you want to work. Click on the folder and there should be configuration settings for that game. Click on the configuration settings and find the game window (it will have different names depending on the game), and change the number from 0 to 2. Exit and save the settings, and the game should now work....

Whatever I do, they always tell me there is something wrong with the drinks I mixed in the pub (in order to get more coins). But I followed the instructions given, so what am I doing wrong? It is really frustrating, because without the coins I can't continue the game. Any advice on how to spot the error?...
