I suppose this game frustrates me the most...
...more than any other game in all time!

I rage quit this game more than any other...(confession: I've never rage quit a game before so...)

It is the unholy combindation of spell fizzles and one-shot coup de grace.

I simply dread plaything this ever again.

P.S. I couldn't even complete the tutorial. Good job I guess.

Hi,
I made Law Mode tutorial and challenge walkthroughs:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbRtncguM6Q&list=PLQIw8mJ4tQwySVHR5nzIT06EJ1ssckZS7

Much of the advice is still good for Chaos Mode (e.g., I generally ignore the sprites and push aggressively foward, which I find works well vs AI).

Neowave Interleave made some chaos Challeng walkthroughs:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoQj9T_8Bhc&list=PLFfpR13eVzcQRbyZdx3az5r6twrWIF43w

From memory, the tutorials themselves are ok, but some of the challenges are really tough (none of it is mandatory, however).

A string of spell fizzles is tough to work around, but after a few turns, if you start mixing believable illusions in with your real creatures, it should help.
One-shot coup de grace shouldn't be a problem if you can keep your wizard out of attack range.

Small world Roguefrog! Greetings from a fellow Qt3-er ;-)

Sorry to hear this enrages you! The RNG just isn't for some people I'm afraid and I'm personally not a fan of the Law mode which often turns the game into a predictable war of attrition. Chaos means you've got to play the odds and give yourself the best chances possible through mana boosting, burning cards, positioning, LOS, engagement etc. and, of course, illusions. Sometimes the RNG will royally screw you but it can just as often give you minor miracles.

Chaos Reborn literally wears its chaos on its sleeves and gives you plenty of ways of mitigating that, which I appreciate more than something like Armello that layers RNG up with coin flips, card drops and deals, random spawning and dice rolls. I find that a lot more frustrating, yet weirdly it's more popular than Chaos Reborn which is often criticised for the RNG! (I still don't mind Armello.)
