Switching attack type of spider/air elemental/...

Hi, is there a way to get my spider or air elemental to perform a normal physical attack instead of special attacks? I think I saw a spider acrually bite another creature, but can't for the life of me figure out how...

if a spider has webbed a creature say elephant then it can attack normally.

Spider will attack normally under the following conditions:

Live creature is blobbed or paralyzed or webbed

Air elemental cannot perform any attacks other than moving the creatures 1 hex in any directions.

they are more useful for pushing creatures/wizards off the map or off the hex into gaps in the map

Ah, I see. It never occured to me to try to push creatures off the cliff with the air elemental :) Thanks for clarifying this!

For me, it is the most satisfying way to kill a wizard after blob and rat:) You can push a mounted creature off a cliff, the only way to one-shot a mounted wizard. You can blob or wall a wizard, move your elemental up, dispel the blob or wall, and then push. Web can't be dispelled, however.

Also, it can be useful to push creatures on top of pillars or in gullies from which they cannot escape. Or to push a creature in to attack range of another. Or to push creatures out of engagement of others. Or, simply to use the air elemental's high agility to engage another creature.
