New game + removed Agrigen and Grey Solutions/Chimera buffs

Got to finish base game and looking forward to New Game +, but hit a snag. My permanent buffs from the Agrigen Nutrient Broth and the Chimera Serum got removed.
Is this really supposed to happen?

I'm a bit pissed since I not only had to grind HARD for those buffs, I also had to spend a whole lot of time trying to get the right Nutrient Broth color for each of my characters.
And this was on an Ironman save. I wasn't (or rather couldn't) reloading the game to get my preferred color on my crawlers. What I did was use an exploit I found while experimenting with the color RNG the broth used, but that's another story.

This ruined my NG+ run, in a sense that now I have to grind HARD again for the buffs I already had, that were by the way stated to be only removed when said character dies. It's Ironman and believe me, they didn't die.
