Anomalous Energy - Destroy the dormitory generator within the void.

I was wondering how one destroys the thing within the void. I found the generator, disabled the camera, put in the password in the normal world and looted the chest but I cant interact with the generator neither in the void or the normal world. So how do i do this?

I wonder how much the missions or stages has changed. I am wondering should I go back and revisit that same stage. I had webpage with my own walk through guide. hmm

Thanks for the guide. My problem still does exist though. In your guide you say:
"Mission is called: Anomalous Energy"... "Use the key card of that door and once inside use the dimension jump ability to find it has a generator and the orb thingy that helped you appears with the bonus mission if you accept."
I got into the room with the generator. and I see in the void only the generator (looks a bit like an hourglass) in purple and in the normal dimension I see a computer in front of said generator. If I put in the correct Password in the computer it generates a chest for me to loot (with shield upgrades in it). There is no "orb thingy" and I cant interact with anything apart from the chest and the computer in the room? is this a bug? how did you destroy the generator? as I cant interact with it i dont see a way to destroy it.

currently doing new game+/hardcord mode rerun, so they might have changed it, will find out soon enough and post any changes in this discussion.

oh damn I apologize. Thanks for answering and wanting to help me. I went into the wrong room. The big purple hourglass thing isnt the generator. The generator is in the north east. The room i meant is in the north west

If someone still play (♥♥♥♥♥ great game :) ) the password for computer changes it you have to look in computer for which scientist is operatint (Tanaka, Ewing etc) then find log in his room(each room you fight with diffrent scientisc) and look at log in that room. Check in computer how long is password then try diffrent words( Case sensistive) from log (eg for tanaka is Maury) :)
