Void Psyker: Torrent+Misery; is it supposed to do this much damage?
First thing I encountered so far that didn't die in one shot from it:

That's around 100,000 damage in one attack at lvl 40. Beat the boss in one turn - without leaving the void - even though the mission was 10 levels above my characters. :o

Yeah, I have thought for a little while now that either VP damage ought to be scaled back or other class damage should be scaled up significantly. The VP puts other dps to shame at the moment, imo.

Yeah, but they're also probably the hardest class to use well. They explode pretty regularly which hurts yourself and your team (unless you use Backlash) and stuns you for a full round. Without a solid build it can be dicey trying to get to 100 void before unleashing your crazy.

Not sure if my old savegame is bugged or not but my VP is killing the entire team even though I got the skill that should actually prevent that from happening.

Overall the VP damage is insane, but Torrent is deffinatly a skill to love.

Yes, it's true that they can lose control and damage the entire team and be stunned. But the damage output of the VP FAR outweighs those penalties, in my opinion. I haven't found that the VP loses control a high percentage of the time. This is especially true if you make sure you have a reliable void dump ability or two equipped. And when you need to kill something (or everything), you avoid dumping for a round or possibly two and....get xp, heh.

Yeah, for quite a long time (even since pretty early EA builds) I thought that VP has too much "ignore" abilities on the list - ignore shields, ignore armor, etc. - and now in addition to that he has the ability to pull off hugely overpowered combos.

Other classes can do that too, e.g. your basic combo strike of Cyberninja goes up to pretty insane levels of damage output and further into even bigger combos, but here you need a proper equipment and a proper team to pull it off, while VP can go nuts with just a high-damaging weapon alone.

I really like the ninja concept...but I haven't been able to come anywhere near the damage of the VP with him/her. But the playstyle of the ninja is very fun...just wish the damage was better.

When in NG+ there are enough skillpoints to fill out multiple trees, I just ditched void generators entirely. The 15/turn is enough that every fight I just start doing the ability that makes the next ability free and aoe, then I use that ability, then I do a normal (empowered through passive) attack, and then I do whatever seems most appropriate if it ever somehow gets to turn 4.

This is for easy fights, of course. For hard fights I open up with the 100 power void torrent on the biggest enemy to instantly destroy it and do tons of peripheral damage to everything else.

Anyway, doing this I never actually generate void power through abilities, which *seems* to never make her explode even when she sits at 100 VP nearly all of the time. At least she hasn't exploded even once for me this entire NG+.

Hmm, I thought the passive Vpower gain could trigger her...
Not 100% sure on that because I mostly blow myself in turn 1 or 2 when I use the first generating ability.
