Red Stop Button

I've been using the modeler for some time, and now every input and output is a "?" and there is a big red "Stop" icon loading in the bottom right side of my screen.
Is there a fix for this?

I did a bit more research and apparently the back end calculations are super intense. For more involved planning the advice seems to be to plan abstractly rather than directly reflect your in-game factories!

use full calculator for small base (outpost), get the calculated data and write it in the machines. switch to the other calculator and voila, almost instant calculations (goodbye red button). also use only the splunger for everything (mostly for merging 2,3 ,4,... same product lines), avoid the other types mergers, splitters, priority- they will crash the calculator.

It seems that either when chaining too many buildings, or due to too many buildings, the calcuator is crashing... The manual calculator is good but then it struggles with inputs/outputs distributions :/
