Request: Outposts need the ability to manually specify i/o
Currently, when you create an outpost, it has no inputs or outputs, and you can only add them by dragging onto the outpost from other nodes (the fact that you can even do this isn't visually obvious). Outposts should be able to have actual specific inputs and outputs you can assign, so you can string them together without having to have machines in between to specify what that outpost is actually creating.

For example, currently, I have an outpost that represents a factory which makes 2400 Steel Pipes / Min, but in order to actually have it display steel pipes as an output, I have to then plug it into a machine that takes steel pipes as an input. If I have another outpost that takes steel pipes as said input, I have to fudge it by placing a machine between them that makes steel pipes. This intermediate step shouldn't be necessary, I should be able to specify the exact output of an outpost with no intermediate connections.

Click the plus button to add new inputs and outputs then drag them together.
