Miner Rates not up-dateing
When I adjust the setting on a miner, for the node type (Impure, normal, pure), or the miner Mk. type (Mk. 1, Mk. 2, Mk.3) the rate per min of the supplied ore is not updated.
It stays at the default 60 per min.
Not sure if this is a bug or a missing feature.

I think what you are looking for is the fact that miner's start in the default of parts per minute mode, so changing the machine MK and purity does not change the defined parts per minute. You can right click a miner to toggle off the parts per minute and change the limit to number of machines and I think that will give you what you are expecting. In the Settings ->Machine Defaults, you can change the default behavior of new machines as well as mass apply it to the existing machines.

It's neither. Changing miner type is for power calcualtions. You change limits by entering the number at the bottom, and the top is getting calculated based on the rest of your graph.
I had the same question. I would consider this a missing feature. I don't remember what nodes produce what or what number to put in the blank. I don't really play the game caring about power. When I need more power, I make more power.

This tool is very flexible and you are in control. For example, you can ask: "how much iron will I need to produce this much of the end item?" in this case you provide the other numbers and the tool figures out the required miner rate. Setting the rate to a fixed mk1/2/3 number will make that impossible and will detract from the tool or complicate the UI.

The way the tool works, is that you, the user, put in some numbers, and the tool fill in the rest. It is not designed to copy the game, it is an abstraction of the game to allow more versatility.

Also note that it's not just mk1/2/3 that determines the rate, it's also the node quality. And when the tool tells you that you need to provide 125, it's up to you if you use an mk1 on pure and and mk1 on impure, or mk3 on normal, or 3 mk2 on impure or what.

In your particular situation, the answer is usually is a no brainier, it depends on which nodes you have available in vicinity, and your current level, so you know which combination you want to use. (And if you don't the tool cannot either).

It is true that the tool can add many more features, including your current research level tracking, syncing with the nodes map, etc. The back log of desired features is big, according to the developer. However he is just one guy, and there are so many hours in the day. So he is trying to work on what seems to be the highest priority.

This particular request is a bit neither here not there, there is no good way to put this in without doing much more work that is currently out of scope.

The dev is currently not accepting feature requests either (he closed the requests channel) because the log is already full. Many things though are already on the log. As far as I know he never shared the log.

Thanks for the reply.
After setting the miner to Impure Mk.2, I did as you said and slid the selector switch to parts per min and nothing changed.
Then on closer inspection I saw that the mouse over now said number of machines, which was set at 60!
May I suggest that the miner is set to one machine by default, after the switch over, to help prevent confusion.
Thanks for this excellent application, I use it a lot.
