Wings of Vi

So how hard is this game?
Someone recommended it cause i'm doing boshy. However Boshy as driven me to insanity, made me wanna go on a murder spree, and just hate life cause well...it's boshy.

This game from the trailer looks fun but knowing it's a spiritual successor to boshy is this boshy infuriating with stupidly hard platforming sections that you finally get through and get killed by some random flying spike hard?

Or is this really hard but at the same time fair hard.

Just don't wanna spend 15 bucks then quit when I get to a boss that takes 23+ hours (cause I'm not doing it again. I did that ♥♥♥♥ once at sonic which took me 23+ hours to beat).

I do enjoy platformers and I enjoy difficult ones. I've beaten Hollow Knight with it's true ending which requires some damn super meatboy style platforming to get. Just wanna know how this is in terms of difficulty range.

I'm not sure if it rivals Boshy in difficulty. This game has a better build up in terms of getting more difficult over time. You have time to prepare yourself (read: attain some skill) before reaching the first boss. And compared to Boshy, you have time to see things coming. So no weird jumps or enemies appearing off-screen without you even knowing.

To me it's still pretty hard, even on Angel. But every death is your own mistake.

Can't say for Super Meatboy. Haven't played that. I guess I'm one of the few.

It's hard but fair 99% of the times... but it sure sits on the border between "fair" and "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sometimes. I'd say much easier than Boshy but much harder than SMB if you want a comparison.

From my experience this game is easier than Boshy for the right reasons. Despite being hard its 99% of the time fair and the difficulty curve is pretty good. This game has no traps like some fangames do so if you die it's your fault. Practice makes it perfect!

It has difficulty options but I think they are kind of bad, there should have been an extra option in between AM and MM.
If you are struggling with mortal mode but on switching to angel you find that it is absolutely trivial in some sections.
When the only thing you may want to make your life easier is just more health to survive a few bosses longer. AM gives you extra platforms removing difficulty in some platforming sections and removes/nerfs certain attacks from bosses in addition to reducing HP on bosses and enemies and giving you higher defense among some other changes. I'd be okay with just more checkpoints and more HP, but that was far too much difficulty reduction so I stuck with mortal mode and those 31 hours spent trying to get past the final boss.

2. The half of population over me are friends (hi guys) - I do share. And the other opinions.
3. I do hope you not planning to play on fullscreen<-- top not really solved problem.

4. Back to game:
4.1 Why I do fall in love to this game (alpha tester) since many years games where easy. I hold as child a cousin's Gameboy and tried to play a Megaman-game.
I do- we saying in nowadays- ragequit.
WoV (alpha; Q3'13) gives me this childhood feeling. And yes- an boobie angel. An boobie Angel
4.2. You will hate any new part to pass but that satisfaction is heavenly.

Wings of Vi is easier than Boshi in the regular settings and actually much more fun because it gives so much more possibilities.

You can build up the difficulty, you start off with a regular Angel (easy) or Mortal run (normal), which allows you to take some damage... and then eventually you move on to doomed modifier (one-hit-kills-you) or demon (hard) mode. You can mix different difficulties/modifiers to increase the challenge.

I find the game is totally worth it.
