To me it's still pretty hard, even on Angel. But every death is your own mistake.
Can't say for Super Meatboy. Haven't played that. I guess I'm one of the few.
If you are struggling with mortal mode but on switching to angel you find that it is absolutely trivial in some sections.
When the only thing you may want to make your life easier is just more health to survive a few bosses longer. AM gives you extra platforms removing difficulty in some platforming sections and removes/nerfs certain attacks from bosses in addition to reducing HP on bosses and enemies and giving you higher defense among some other changes. I'd be okay with just more checkpoints and more HP, but that was far too much difficulty reduction so I stuck with mortal mode and those 31 hours spent trying to get past the final boss.

1. On 22th June starts the Steam Summer Sale (and don't forget the "2h time playing or money back"-system)
But it's worth any Cent. I gave away 12 copies.
2. The half of population over me are friends (hi guys) - I do share. And the other opinions.
3. I do hope you not planning to play on fullscreen<-- top not really solved problem.
4. Back to game:
4.1 Why I do fall in love to this game (alpha tester) since many years games where easy. I hold as child a cousin's Gameboy and tried to play a Megaman-game.
I do- we saying in nowadays- ragequit.
WoV (alpha; Q3'13) gives me this childhood feeling. And yes- an boobie angel. An boobie Angel
4.2. You will hate any new part to pass but that satisfaction is heavenly.
You can build up the difficulty, you start off with a regular Angel (easy) or Mortal run (normal), which allows you to take some damage... and then eventually you move on to doomed modifier (one-hit-kills-you) or demon (hard) mode. You can mix different difficulties/modifiers to increase the challenge.
I find the game is totally worth it.
