demo works - full game won't launch

played the demo liked it and then got the full game

except when I press play it just cycles from play button to cancel button to stop button then back to play button without launching at all

literally can press play button on demo version and it launches right up - then I close it
and try the full game and just does that cycling without actually launching

Hi, haven't heard of anything like this before. So the game basically just refuses to launch, while there is no problem with the demo?

Did you try restarting Steam / your PC?

yea tried that

verified cache integrity or whatever its called

uninstalled it and reinstalled a few times

removed the demo if that was possibly in conflict

tried installing it on 3 different hard drives

tried clearing download cache under the downloads part of the settings

I haven't tried uninstalling and reinstalling steam

don't currently have another computer to test it on

so I guess I'm just gonna wait for probably far in
the future to get a different computer

at the risk of agressing every corporate bootlicker on steam it might be windows 7 related if you updated unity or a package that doesnt support it after the demo.

I already refunded and dont expect you to roll back the game on my behalf just saying for closure

Same stuff, guys. I did everything as expected, downloaded the demo to any computers available to me, and the game started. I bought the game and it didn't start. Are you kidding us? This is the level of a mobile clicker with evolution, how can it not start at all?

Maybe some demo leftover interfering with full game. I would try running it in win safe mode or under virtual machine. Or on system that had no demo installed.

I am more than sure that they stuffed 12 directix into the final version of the game for some reason, which does not use all the graphics capabilities at all, but it is impossible to run above 11 on Win 7. This is what the distinctively added folder D3D12 screams about in a place with a single file D3D12Core.dll. In my opinion, such pixel games are not worthy of using a library of heavy games that do not actually use 3d graphics in general and should run on a single processor.

I tried all the commands written there, including -force-d3d11 and -dx11, and also turned off MSI Afterburner along with RivaTuner, but the game still won't start. Any digging in the boot.config file also did not give a positive result.

Well, the minimum is win 10/11. So being mad that it doesnt work on win 7 is stupid. Even outside dx12, there are system-related reasons why certain apps for win10+ wont run on win 7/8.
