They could do a better job of explaining/tutorializing the home estate workings especiall when it comes to the expeditions and trading, etc. (like hiring workers at the barmaid, etc.)
On the trading bit, I still don't know what I'm going to do with any of these exotic mats I'm trading for. Is there some awesome crafting bit or potion or something all these mats will go into or is it just about the procurement itself, with no end-goal for that which is obtained? Haven't figured that out yet.
Right, I'm still not sure about the trading and production either. I also have a couple of things in my inventory that I have no idea what to do with, but still seems too valueable to get rid of. Hopefully they will add to it, or explain it better once the official release happens. So far I'm just trying to learn as I go, since there really isn't many tips online yet (due to how new the game is).
if the game wasnt littered with dark patterns it might be alright
there is a subscription
there is a p2w cash shop
there is a battle pass
there is a premium battle pass +
there is an energy system
i sure can understand why people chose to give it some well deserved flak. other devs afford to eat too but dont go down the way of using dark patterns to frustrate player into paying
see PoE for example. now imagine a GoT made thisway, absolute badass.
but instead we got this watered down mobile monetized version of it.
i hope they atleast revisist the enrgy system.
Sure, it would be nice if everything could be obtained and earned in game for free, but you can still play and progress without buying any of the real money stuff. And for a free game this big, I'd say it isn't too unreasonable that you can use real currency in game. Personally I'd gladly support this game with my money, as long as they don't do a sudden close down or stop developing it (which is my concern).
eso only has a sub. no p2w cashshop.
can't buy items or gacha for characterpower.
>you can still play and progress without buying any of the real money stuff
is slightly missleading. the first 8hours are fine, but when you need to grind momentum thats where it all comes together. cant do MSQ cause need more momentum, grind is hindered by RP. but cashshop comes to resque... for a price. or you wait a day for rp refill. but i dont want to wait. i wanna play a game for hours at a time.
eso has none of that. buy once. thats it. can experience all of the basegame. sub gives access to all previous dlcs. or you buy the dlcs. then you dont need the sub. dont even need to grind for the story. its just there all accessible 'n shiny.
if kingsroad would be like eso i'd be overjoyed and buy the 90€ version in a heartbeat
ESO got the crownstore, crown items and ESO+ sub. As well as payment for every DLC and the main game, and if you don't have those; then payment for the different classes, dungeons, areas and so on too.
I've been playing Kingsroad for 60 hours, and still haven't been made to pay with real cash. I'm not rushing anything. Can't speak for endgame though, it's only early access though. Each their own gamestyle. We know what we sign up to, and can choose to join or not.
Why ? Because like I said since the beginning, you don't work and want to play 8h/day and rush the game and want everything for 0 cents, waiting for another F2P.
Oh and you prove you don't know what your talking about ESO. For the complete game you have to buy Season Pass ( ex extension ) + Sub + Raids. And some items special ESO+.
Don't change my poor guy, your my funny time !
and thank you for acknowledging the rest =)
yes, where can i spend crowns to top up energy?
how can i buy the non existing battlepass?
what dungeon am i unable to get loot from because my rewardpoints are empty?
where can i buy gacha accessoire boxes?
its all skins
over its lifetime it released dlc and new features. and its monetization is not predatory apart from the sub if you will.
if kingsroad only had a sub, that'd be great
https://www.darkpattern.games/
here you can read about the various patterns used
Come back when you know what your talking about my funny clown
i hope one day you've gotten over yourself and the wall of insults - able to see the person you realy are and are deserving of games that dont bleed your wallet dry
