Who the hell does not want you to play it? These people announced the demo and the span of the demo. They have a schedule to respect. You missed it, no big deal, go see the gameplay videos on youtube instead of acting like a brat.

It wasn't the only one. It was part of the Steam Festival Spring Edition. The team was able to get some feedback on the game and a good look at the server structure during Steam Fest. Pulling the demo down allows them to focus on the game and not have to be concerned with server maintenance, which is actually a thing. They are not the first company to have a limited time play test and this sort of thing occurs with numerous titles on multiple platforms.
