Tutor never leaves?

for some reason I thought Jane would be free after two, but it's six o-clock at night and that and they're still reading Chaucer or whatever. Is this a bug, or do I have to do something else first?

You're right, Ethel should leave Jane's room by 2:00. Are you at the beginning of the game? Perhaps call Mrs. Petrov if you haven't already. And have you met the other three characters?
