Roadwar 2000/Europa
Very much like the old SSI games Roadwar 2000 and Roadwar Europa.

best move of either game was to get a school bus or tractor trailer and load her up with mercs. damn things pwned everything!!!

I used to have a good time with the Car Wars series. Is this the only type of game like this available on the PC?

I still have a ton of old Car Wars gaming stuff in my garage. I should dig them out before some squirrels chew up the cardboard pieces.

for a while a few years ago they had an MMO called Auto Duel. seemd like a great idea but it folded fast for some reason.

Oh very much so yes! Even has the pla-*snip to avoid spoilers* :D definitely agree there, and you can act like a bit of a gang with the random encounters. Heh... would be fun to have construction vehicles as your escort vehicles in Convoy like you could in Roadwar, but that could be a tad overpowered :D

They did an MMO? :duranceright: Wow completely missed that - there was the old Amiga/IBM game back in the day that I remember but had no clue about the MMO. Now my curiosity is piqued...

To top it off the movie that started it all Mad Max is coming out with a new film and open world game! they say this game is actually pretty decent!

Between 1st and 4th September release depending on one's whereabouts for the game release. Seems to be a good year for road warriors ^_^

from the trailers you see alot more of the devastation to the world. apparently one big lore reveal is that the majority of the worlds' oceans have dried up.

also car combat,customization and upgrading is a majopr part of the game. one combat gameplay reveal shows the road warrior shooting at mercs on a bus-like vehicle!!!
