Bottlecaps, A Love Story (AKA: FML, The Game)

*I would like to say this is on my FOURTH run, one of the previous I died to the boss, the other two I got killed by enemies... and I ended up getting the achievement for 6000km traversed. Also, this is as I remember so the stop order MIGHT be a tad iffy...


So, bottlecaps. Some people collect them. Some people bite them. Some people use them as their damn currency.

And some people get cursed with them.

We won the 'mystery prize' at the casino. What did we win, among the many amazing weapons?

Bottlecaps. Lots, and lots, of bottlecaps. I'd actually ended up winning it twice, thinking it was a joke reward, until I noticed the side quest. Go see if you can sell'em. Alright.

First stop, old mute hermit. Gestures rudely and screams at us.

Second stop, traders. Awkwardness ensues.

Third stop, bottlecap museum. You don't have any we need, but would you like a tour?

We now know everything there is to know about bottlecaps... except how to get rid of them.

Fourth stop, collector of oddities. No thanks, already have lots.

Fifth stop... Bottlecap raiders? 'They have our bottlecaps, shoot'em!'... The worst part wasn't that after killing them we got MORE bottle caps, but because if they had just talked to us instead of attacking us we could've given them to'em. No muss no fuss.

Sixth stop, Bottlecap collector. Bottlecap factory. We don't need the, but would you like a tour? We now have over twice as many bottlecaps as we started with.

Seventh stop, nothing. Nothing. Absolutely nothing at all, barren wastelands. The bottlecaps must be making me crazy.

Eighth stop. A man wandering the wastes, in a blue jumpsuit with a '13' on the back. He doesn't have a use for them anymore, seeing as he left Earth long ago. If only we had a way to get to Old Earth.

Ninth stop. Same thing, got intercepted by the boss before I could get to the next. Bastards are FAST.


TL;DR, bottlecaps: ♥♥♥♥'em.

I got parts from a trade caravan once for them, Another time we just dumped them somewhere and left. that was stop 13 I think....

I just got an oddity collector to give me a dragon car and a hovercraft for the bottlecaps! And they were both well armed! (Happy dance time!!!)

When I went to the museum, they gave me two heavy vehicles with 2 weapon slots and a utility slot.

Oh my GOSH >.< I'm having this issue right now, I won bottlecaps like three, or four times, then factory *doubled* Pirates *doubled* ..Pirates JUST NOW Again ..so yay, >.< ...others are the hermits or nothing..and...the akward traders but oh my GOSH Where is a museum when you need one!


*Edit* ..another...Pirate..group...*Twitch* If this was fallout, I would be basically hauling the Fort Knox of bottlecaps by now!!?!

Wow...I have gotten -so many- bottlecaps now, it changed from "Bottlecap Winner" To "Bloody Bottlecaps!"

then a hermit.. and now "Return of the Bottlecaps..."

..then another factory...someone, ANYONE Take these bottle caps so I can go fight the boss!

Thank goodness, Finally, The museum, ..oh no they want them, Da-, wait what?! YAY!
