So I've been trying to get this achievement; first strategy was to ALWAYS bet on a single number at roulette when I come across the casino. Eventually I won one of those bets, took my fat pile of 3500+ bolts over to the slots, and proceeded to dump all my money into the 1 bolt slots. After about a half an hour of clicking and now having closer to 3000 bolts, I tried my hand at the 10 bolt slots for a while. VERY quickly got down to 2500 bolts.

At this point I wasnt liking my chances, so I (shamelessly) opened up the ol' auto clicker, and proceeded to go back to the 1 bolt slots. After a good 10 minutes and (literally) thousands and thousands of clicks, I was back down to the 300 or so bolts that I went into the casino with, and had no achievement to show for it.

So, my question is this: does the jackpot only happen at the 100 bolt slots? Was my clever plan somehow foiled by use of an autoclicker? Or was I just plain unlucky? It doesnt seem THAT rare statistically (more people have it currently than, say, "out of gas" or "close combat,") but based on my luck, it would seem the odds are truly abysmal... like 1:10000 or worse, considering I tried my hand AT LEAST that many times.

I unlocked the achievement using the 10-bolt slots. It cost me about 100 to get to it. I believe the odds of jackpot are different for each increment, and I'm not sure whether it's 1:1 ratio or not, so you might want to try a different machine each run. I think you've been unlucky so far, as I don't think the odds are actually that slim. I don't have numbers to be certain.

It can be achieved in any one of the slot machines. Though the chances are indeed 1:10000 if I'm not mistaken.

Great, thanks for the quick info it is much appreciated. Love this game, couldnt be happier to have another great game in the rogue-time-strategy vein of FTL, you all have done a wonderful job with it! I am stoked to finish getting all the achievements :D

The slot machines have been adjusted since launch to no longer be a near-guaranteed money increase as long as you spent enough time on it, so there is a slight chance that the majority of folks who've gotten the achievement did so when it was easier.

The odds are actually 1:2899. This is assuming there haven't been any sweet little old grannies that have emptied the machine before you.

There's one old man wandering the desert... the tramp near the Sasiak milkbar... might be a bunch of old folks in Shurel, but they are never mentioned. Never seen any grannies in the casino.

So the jackspot is what 3 symbols together? Because I've won like two times already, and no achievements, but I think it was with the 1 bolt jackpot...

I have the same history. won the jackpot in 1-bolt slots. then won in slots of 10 bolts. both times there was an inscription "woooo, I won the jackpot!", but the achievements did not give

I'm still quite confused about the requirements for this achievement. Does it have to be on the random number roulette? I've ruined a few runs already trying to unlock it
