In this episode of Nancy drew you have to find out why an old carousel is going bump in the night. Since there was a piece of it stolen it start's to run on it's own will - or so it seems.

Again the game uses the standard routines of interviewing people, talking with friends and try to solve riddles in the amusement park. All to soon it comes clear that all of the people you can interview might have a motive.

Technically this game is a point and click adventure, the game is aimed for younger female audiences, but again it's playable for all who like adventure and puzzle games. This series is famous for the sometimes creepy stories that are involved. Oh... have I told you that you can have serious accidents during the adventure? No... well... Now you know! Have fun bashing in your head. Don't worry since there is a cute replay option, something we urgently need in real life.

I can recomend this game without further thought, it's nicely rendered, has a good story and some nice puzzles.

Already owned the hard copy of this game when it came out. Had to buy it here so I could always play it. I love this game so much. I'm a hardcore ND fan, so these games are the best!

This was an interesting game and I learned new things about carousels, but because it is an older game it was a very fast playthrough. I would recommend it, but if you are interested in a more drawn out mystery I would suggest the Ransom of the Seven Ships or the Haunting of Castle Malloy.

This is one of the more simplistic Nancy Drew games as it is only set in one location, however I enjoyed the puzzles and still a good game.

The game itself is exactly what you expect of a Nancy Drew game, and the puzzles, even the slightly odd ones, were mostly internally logical, which is nice.

Edit: Originally, I went through a lot of hoops to get this to display in the correct aspect ratio, but I eventually learned you only need to make sure three settings are correct in the NVIDIA Control Panel to have it behave. Under the category "Adjust desktop size and position", have it on Aspect Ratio, and set it to perform scaling on the GPU, rather than the display. I am not sure if, for this game, the setting to override the game's scaling mode needs to be on or off, but it worked for me with it off.

Normally I like the older ND games, which is why I'm super shocked I didn't like this one that much. The Haunted Carousel has a super predictable ending, and it has some of the easiest puzzles in the series. I would recommend this game only for people who struggle with the puzzles in the other games, as this one will be in the walk in the park for you.

What can I say about this game other than that it's delightful? It's not too challenging and pretty short, but the setting, the music, the art, the characters and the gameplay all come together beautifully. You get to explore a turn-of-the-century amusement park with a rich history, beautiful locations, and plenty of games and rides that you can enjoy at your own leisure as you work the case. The story is also one of the best in my opinion. In addition to solving the mystery of the haunted carousel you get to chase down stolen jewels and go on a touching journey to help a young woman reconnect with her deceased parents.

It's a perfect game to enjoy on a free day, or as a starting point for young players or those who are new to the series. I usually prefer the more challenging games, but this jumped right up to my second-favourite after the Curse of Blackmoor Manor nonetheless.

I'd list this Nancy Drew game among the easier ones. Once again, too many phone calls to make -- which bugs me. But, the puzzles are fun and solving the case was enjoyable.

Nice game. Some quests are frustrating, so it's better to google answers (if you don't want to loose several hours for trying). Good choice as first game for those who start Nancy Drew games.

I'll start off saying I am a huge fan of Nancy Drew in general. This game is short and sweet and not too difficult. If you're looking for a way to kill 2 hours and have fun doing it, this is your game! If you're looking for difficult and long puzzles, this is not it. I like this game though! Very cute.
