Oh the computer was released in 1977? that makes more sense. wording. It says computer too, but still in a way that it could mean the game for that computer. lol. idk. need more coffee
Hey, I noticed that TTW Score Attack is LITERALLY endless. In other words, I noticed that the level caps at 15 and the game speed stops increasing, meaning you can quite easily keep playing forever. It's just slow enough that even a moderately skilled player is going to have to deliberately top out to end the game.
Not sure if this is an oversight or a bug or something, but it's certainly something that might need fixing.
More improvements are in development.
A few things. First, appreciate the patch! Thank you! Do you have a time table on when this patch will hit consoles? I'm on Switch.
Also, I have a couple bugs in Electronika 60 that I didn't see in this thread here when skimming through everything. 1) There doesn't appear to be a way to change your selection from Yes to No when the game asks if you want to play again, even though the text on screen asks Yes or No.
2) The leaderboard in E60 (someone addressed this already, but it didn't quite describe my issue), it appears to only look at the hundreds number in your score and completely ignores any of the thousand markers that you obtain. The leaderboard also does not show any of the thousand markers, except for the number one spot, but that is only showing two marks for me. So, right now, my highest score is 996**, but I know for a fact that is not my highest actual score; it is only the highest score when looking at the hundreds counter. Again, on Switch.
One last thing: I know this is an issues thread, but are there any plans to add online or bot support to Time Warp? A lot of Tetris games have bot support at the least, so even though it wasn't outright stated, I was still kind of expecting this.
Hard drop isn't in the Game Boy version, thus it isn't in the 1989 version. That's entirely the point of having different eras.
each for each mode
in such a way that the Hard Drop function does not appear for the 1989 version.
That's entirely the point of command menu: assign working function.
When playing 1989 it is possible to pause and access the command menu, where the hard drop function is offered.
I have to set the controls every time I start in game (I feel like crying).
(In Warp, instead, you lose all settings and ranking records when you log out of your account...I'm speechless...)
The entire game loses settings when you log out from your Steam account...what a disaster...
The leaderboard (Electronica 60) resets every time I exit the game.
There is no Hi-score visible while playing.
It's possible that in 2024 we won't be able to do
- hi-score visible while playing
- permanent ranking, always available (and not just with Game Over)
...a visible hi-score (on side in screen) and an always consultable ranking do not change the structure of the game
Then, it asks me if I want to continue or not (Yes/No), there is no way to select No.
I pressed every possible button.
Triple-A pricing, indie game management.
There was even a need to ask for an option to configure the buttons in some games.
On Switch, there is no high score shown during gameplay and from what I understand, this is accurate to the original game, so absolutely no reason to expect or ask for this feature unless I am wrong about the original not having it.
The leaderboard does not reset for me, but it does only count the hundreds column, ignoring any thousand markers. I also cannot select No during the Play Again question.
If there is a way to customize controls on Switch in E60, I can't find it.
> "Triple-A pricing, indie game management."
You've got this backwards, lol.
Triple-A pricing = $60/$70, Tetris Forever is $35 (i.e. indie range).
Game management is the Triple-A bit, since the whole collection is riddled with bugs.
In the 1989 version of Warp there is the ranking that is not present in the Gameboy version (which you yourself compared with Warp 1989).
As you have seen, they can easily put a permanent ranking and even a hi-score,
if they want.
If the manufacturers had to stick to the standards of the 80s they would have to remove all the save and rewind functions.
And then, I had clearly specified, in my previous post, that the hi-scores should be put aside ("on side in screen", I wrote), that is, out of the original gameplay when this did not provide for it.
All it takes is a little desire to do things, but I see that they are too busy fixing a lot of bugs that are so obvious that they could have discovered them on their own simply by playing.
In Electonica 60 for PC, leaderboard reset on exit game.
Also keyboard settings reset on exit game.
wake up, here we are on Steam PC not Switch... wake up!!!!!!
Classic 2D -Triple A- arcade games are sold at release for less than 40 euros on PC
- Bubble Bobble for friend
- Contra Galuga
- Ghost'n' Goblin Resurrection
- Arkanoid Eternal Battle
- Street of Rage 4
etc.
Classic 2D indie games are sold for around 10 euros.
on PC, 60-70 euros is 3D Big production pricing
(Red Dead Redemption 2, Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk 2077 etc...)
So let's summarize:
- triple A price
- game management it's no triple A
Some games (Warp, Super Tetris 3 endless mode and Electronica 60) are very beautiful in their own right,
but overall game management it's no beautiful.
From now on, I will only answer if the comments I read are fair and useful.
In order to prevent this useful topic.
the game loses memorizations and scores.
Today I have nothing in my recent games, and all Warp leaderboards are reset.
Also keyboard setting, all reset, another time...
In the meantime, I'm waiting also for you to resolve Electronica 60 issues:
- on exit, game lose commands setting and scores
- on game over, asks to continue "Yes/No", buy only "Yes" is a available
