Tetris Worlds
It does include a version of Tetris from Spectrum Holobyte for the Apple II from 1988, not sure if this is the version you're speaking of.
I understand that it'd be harder to include games not wholly owned by BPS and/or modern-day Atari, but it would be nice if we could get some more playable examples of licensed Tetris titles like the Grand Master series, or offerings from Atari Games or Sega.
It's also a pity, given their historical significance, that we don't have Tengen's and Nintendo's Tetrises playable here. I'm not sure what the Tengen version's IP status is like - maybe it's something modern Atari could snatch up at some point - but I can certainly understand there being difficulties working with Nintendo here.
Also, it feels like there's a bit of a hole, history-wise, regarding other action-puzzle games that Tetris inspired. Yeah, there's no reason why the Tetris company would want to give any
sort of official acknowledgment to unlicensed tetramino-based titles, and DE did include some discussion and artifacts around Hatris and Spectrum Holobyte's Tetris follow-ups, but it would be nice if some more of those were playable, and if there was some brief examination of other titles from the era, such as Columns or Puyo Puyo - games which are pointedly not Tetris, but which share a little of its DNA
I'm half-expecting to at least see the previously unreleased Sega Genesis version of Tetris added here, considering there doesn't seem to be plans to release it anywhere else outside the Sega Genesis Mini.
The game included on the Genesis Mini is not the unreleased Mega Drive version, it's actually a brand new "what if" port of Sega's arcade Tetris. To play the unreleased game, you actually have to reach much further back to the Japan-only PS2 Sega Ages Tetris Collection. So, home versions of both are not straightforward to obtain today.

tetris plus 1 and 2
tetris worlds (both versions cause the gameboy advance version plays quite differently from the rest)
and i'm sure there's at least a couple i'm forgetting
there was a unique Asian Tetris but I can't remember it's name.
I dunno if Game Boy Tetris is in this bundle, the Microsoft Tetris for the PSP/Vita
If you're talking about the Nintendo Tetris games with the cameos, those very likely can't happen due to copyright issues. At least with the NES version.
Yeah, it is mentioned (there's even a video about it) and I agree. Honestly it seems like something that was supposed to be included but couldn't for whatever reason. Seems like a very likely pick for DLC.
Versions that should have zero licensing issues:
More versions from Mirrorsoft and Spectrum HoloByte (C64, ZX Spectrum, Amiga, etc). [MS-DOS version of Super Tetris was added in the February 26, 2025 update]
The Japanese computer versions from BPS (I'm honestly baffled at their exclusion).
Wordtris - Has versions for MS-DOS, Super NES, Game Boy, and Macintosh.
Welltris MS-DOS version was added in the December 20, 2024 update. Still has other versions not included.
Faces...tris III - Has versions for Macintosh, MS-DOS, and Amiga.
The Next Tetris - Would require PS1 emulation or a port of the PC version. MIGHT require working with Hasbro to get the PS1 version added since Hasbro Interactive originally published it, even though Hasbro Interactive is now Atari Interactive.
Tetris 4D - If Digital Eclipse can do Dreamcast emulation.
Tetris S - If Digital Eclipse can do Sega Saturn emulation.
Versions that could work if licensing is worked out:
Atari Arcade Tetris and Tengen Tetris - Would require working with Warner Bros. Discovery due to buyout and rebuy shenanigans from back in the day.
Sega Tetris - If Sega's up to it, I could see the arcade original, the 1989 Mega Drive/Genesis version that had to get repurposed for the Mega-Tech system (arcade-ized Mega Drive/Genesis hardware), and maybe the 2019 version from the Mega Drive/Genesis Mini 1.
Magical Tetris Challenge - Would require working with both Disney and Capcom, and Digital Eclipse has worked with both parties in the past so it's at least a possibility. GBC version would be no problem, yet the console version would require PS1 or N64 emulation. Also worth keeping in mind is the PS1 version's English release is PAL-only.
Tetris: The Grandmaster 1-3 - Would require working with Arika and possibly HAMSTER, the latter of which handled the Arcade Archive versions of TGM 1 and 2. Also TGM 3 would require a new port due to being developed for Windows-based arcade hardware.
Tetris Worlds GBA - Would require working with Embracer Group due to old THQ publishing it.
Tetris Advance - Japan-only GBA release, would also require working with Success.
Tetris Plus 1 and 2 - Would require working with City Connections, the current owner of Jaleco's catalog. Could also include the PS1 version of Tetris Plus 1.
CD-i Tetris - Would require CD-i emulation, and working with Philips.
WonderSwan Color Tetris - Would require working with Vanguard (not the investment firm, I think, info's hard to find because of said firm). Also fun fact, this is the first Tetris Guideline game, beating Tetris Worlds to release by 8 days.
BPS developed versions that probably have no chance:
Tetris Worlds PC/PS2 - Requires PS2 emulation or a port of the PC version, plus it might require working with Embracer Group since old THQ published it
V-Tetris - Doubtful unless Digital Eclipse is fine with presenting Virtual Boy games in 2D.
Tetris Party Deluxe - Would require DS or Wii emulation, also the Wii version allowed Miis so Nintendo would probably prefer that version to be ported to Switch or Switch 2.
Versions that DEFINITELY have no chance:
Game Boy Tetris - Obvious why but its exclusion still sucks. At least the cart's still cheap, and it's on Switch Online's Game Boy app if you're fine with the "yearly rental fee" approach Switch Online uses. At least Time Warp has an 1989 Mode, which got more options in the February 26, 2025 update.
NES Tetris - Same situation as Game Boy Tetris. Plus it's on Switch Online's Famicom and NES apps (which marks the first time Japan ever got this version).
Tetris DX - Same situation as GB and NES Tetris, right down to the Switch Online availability.
North America/PAL Super NES Tetris - Bundled with Dr. Mario, so expect it on Switch Online's Super NES app.
Pokemon Tetris - The fact it even got a MENTION and its box art included is a miracle. Although thinking about it, I could see Pokemon Company doing a Pokemon Mini Collection for Switch, that'd actually be kinda neat.
The New Tetris - Nintendo published it, so they'd want it exclusive to Switch Online's N64 app.
Tetrisphere - Same situation as The New Tetris.
Nintendo's Tetris 2 (Tetris Flash in Japan) - Nintendo developed AND published (except in Japan, BPS published it there).
3D Tetris - Nintendo published it, plus it's a Virtual Boy game like V-Tetris.
Tetris With Cardcaptor Sakura: Eternal Heart - The anime license alone kills this one's chances.
