Game Boy Tetris & will all 15+ games be playable in full?
Will Tetris on the Game Boy be included in this?

And will all 15+ Tetris games be playable in full? What I mean is, it won't be like samples of those games, you will be able to play each Tetris game in its entirety?

I just watched John Hancock's review on YouTube. Game Boy modes are available, but not the full game. NES Tetris is also not there. Famicom Tetris is, but the controls and presentation are not the same, per the review. Atari Arcade Tetris is not there as playable. Can only guess it's something to do with rights issues.

That's a bummer. Tetris on Game Boy was my favorite.

Thanks for info.

Unfortunately, the mode is there, but it’s called the 1989 version and doesn’t even play like the gameboy ver and is limited in options compared to the gameboy ver (only type a music, no endless, no ability to set the level past level 9, no type b mode, no separate set of hiscore-keeping depending on what level you start on). You can do the lame finite rotating shenanigans from modern tetris to stall and think to fix your move, so it already doesn’t even play like classic tetris rules: https://imgur.com/a/QwbNoD2

Yeah, I was hoping for Super Tetris 1 (PC), since oddly enough, even if I could find it again, I don't happen to have a 3 1/4 floppy disc drive. I'll wait for a sale on this one.

Our 1989 mode is an homage to the Game Boy version.
Come on people, do you really think Nintendo would license out their versions of Tetris for the NES and GB? I'm sure they would love to see those games end up on Playstation and Xbox. :chuchelcrazy:

Yeah, gotta get a Switch and Switch Online's basic tier (USD $20 a year) for Game Boy and NES Tetris. NES Tetris isn't there yet but its addition to Switch Online NES was confirmed during the same Nintendo Direct this was announced at.
