Characters , Level and Cumulative Level

From what i read online,

So whatever level you gain in Stages, gets added to Cumulative Level,

And every 50 Cumulative Levels , you get Stat increases?

And from what i read online max Cumulative Level is 500? , if that's the case , so stats increases 10th time at Cumulative level 500 ,

and by unlocking more characters, gives morepower ups.

Unlocking more characters does a few things, each character you unlock adds a set amount of HP or percent of either ATK or DEF to every unit, it also allows that character to be used on a run, it increases the max level you can attain in a single run and allows them to be selected as partner when they show up at a tree. If you see a unit you haven't unlocked at a tree, you can select them as a partner.

The stats you gain from every cumulative 50 levels is only ATK and DEF.

That's it?

The in-stage levels also give you attack and defense during that run. The cumulative levels are meta progression.

There are also unique weapons, formations, and other unlockable features/things in the tree.
