Probably because it has more content than normal survivor style games. Looks like it’s legit close to 100 playable characters and unlockable extra characters in a skill tree. So might be worth the 25 from the looks of it.

It isn't really a bullet hell, it's a top down musou. Though you do have to dodge repeatedly (with i-frames!) and there will be many projectiles. Pick a character out of ... many options, play 4 levels, beat a boss - improve, repeat. Really good stuff so far.

Bullet hell games are shoot em ups like Dodonpachi and Mushihimesama, not games like Vampire Survivors, which are also nothing like this

As someone who plays a lot of bullet hells, this isn't one. It's kinda funny you'd call someone stupid when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
Also a good bullet hell is definitely worth $30 as they're usually incredibly gameplay dense with high replay value, but that's beside the point as this isn't one of those.

I'm kinda curious if this is worth the price and may just take the plunge since £20 isn't awful but I feel it'll be mostly a grind, but that's effectively the musou series, I feel this will be a good transition into this style of game but I wish they gave a bit more info on what the general gameplay loop was like.

I assume OP thinks this is what a bullet hell is due to the rampant misuse of the tag on steam. Horde survivor games like vampire survivors are not bullet hells, despite being (incorrectly) tagged as such.
