How many playable characters

The store page says "100 and more heroes for players to ally with" which seems remarkably evasive. How many characters can we *play* as? I don't wanna have like 5 actual playable characters and 100+ extremely nothing assist characters, especially after they put out Origins with no roster.

Based on the character models. I'd assume it's all the characters that were in Dynasty Warriors 8 and Samurai Warriors 4. I'm mainly curious if any of the Warriors Orochi characters made it in.

since they are using Orochi 3 assets, they are most likely all playable, but it looks like you need to unlock most of them with InGame Currency, but I don't know how mutch you need or how long it takes yet
