I would rate 50% extra free emblems on Zhuge Liang as nicer personally, especially for shu that are great with 18 wisdom 18 charisma. Shu in general feel the strongest just because you can abuse Guan Yu five tigers to summon all of them at once every attack alongside the most untis in a faction.

sima ya is the most broken character and you cant change my mind. max skill, max freeze. light attack light attack charge and the screens just die. bosses die in seconds. did 5 at level 130 getting crappy rng with treasures.

I think this thread is more for characters who have weak or lackluster player hero traits that become significantly better by their unique weapon.

Versus characters that already melt the screen early in their run without their unique weapon.

I meant like, Liu Bei's player hero ability is basically pointless without his weapon. You can get every Shu character in a run, absolutely, but you don't gain power from having them. But with the weapon suddenly he gets +5% power per Shu character and he can absolutely, with near 100% reliability, get every single Shu character in the game, on any given run.

That's a huge improvement over his state without the weapon.

I haven't played him yet but I feel like Magoichi Saika gets a larger boost.

Dunno, 3% conditional on taking no damage is a bit unreliable.

I don't think it's that bad. Then again I'm not sure how slow his attacks are. The other boost his weapon gives seems massive if I'm interpreting it right.

50% is so-so... The 5% attack per Shu per instance gets you something like 60 or 70 percent if you get them all. Which you absolutely will as Liu Bei. But also it's 50% to enemies that are burning, so you have to have already hit them at least once, AND inflicted burn. Which is reliable if you have at least 4 fire emblems, and you have a character that gives you 100% inflict chance for your player character.

It's not bad, but not the greatest. Especially given there are a lot of characters that grant you 100 or more attack.
For what it's worth, I tried him for the first time. He's quite tricky to do no-hit waves after the first boss, but his boss damage is grotesque. I leaned into Wu entirely since they're virtually all fire and it worked quite well as every boss was a cakewalk. As soon as their shield dropped their health bar would disappear VERY rapidly. The only boss that I didn't kill in the initial damage window was Lu Bu, but it was very close.
Liu Bei without his weapon is probably alright since Pang Tong (100%) and Zhuge Liang (50%, ailments) have Shu bonuses and he can go Wind to benefit off Zhang Fei (100%) & Ma Chao (100%). Although it's probably better to play as Guan Yu/Zhang Fei so they can benefit off Liu Bei's +100% Unique Tactic and the aforementioned Shu support or Brave General. Zhuge Liang's Unique Tactic requires a lot of Emblems to pull off reliably...

Magoichi Saika already has a 30% bonus to Level bosses, then with his Unique Weapon the 50% Burn bonus for a baseline 80% that can go to 130% if he goes through 17 phases damageless. He counts as both a Brave General & Toyotomi, so there's boosts by Zhang Liao (40%). Ujiyasu Hojo (100%), Kanetsugu Naoe (100%), Hanbei Takenaka (40%), and Kanbei Kuroda (50%, ailments).

Since Cumulative Level balances the initial Attack/Defense values, attack increases are much appreciated since TL4+ are noticeably tougher enemies:

Middling Unique Weapons (Some of these are Musou/Assemble gauge recharge, which is good): Xiahou Dun, Cao Ren, Xu Huang (50% Attack on Peach), Zhang He, Yue Jin, Xun Yu, Guo Jia, Jia Xu, Cao Pi, Zhenji, Sun Jian, Sun Quan, Xiaoqiao, Lu Su, Lu Meng, Lu Xun, Gan Ning (3% per Speed Emblem, but it's a low priority emblem outside 1 investment for initial i-frames), Zhuge Liang (50% if Four-Wheeled Chariot treasure), Ma Chao, Huang Zhong, Pang Tong, Xu Shu, Guan Ping (30% for 5 seconds if interrupt attack, but bosses can't be interrupted), Xingcai, Zhang Chunhua, Sima Zhao (3% per Speed Emblem), Zhong Hui, Zhang Jiano, Yuan Shao, Diaochan, Chen Gong, Meng Huo (50% per peach), Mitsuhide Akechi, Ranmaru Mori, Oichi, Katsuie Shibata, Nene (start with 2 Crystal beads), Hanbei Takenaka, Kanbei Kuroda, Mitsunari Ishida, Yoshitsugu Otani, Ieyasu Tokugawa, Hanzao Hattori, Ina, Naomasa Ii, Kotaro Fuma, Kunoichi, Shingen Takeda (50% with Cherry Blossom Armor), Kenshin Uesugi (temporary 50% after 100 KOs), Kanetsugu Naoe, Masayuki Sanada, Nobuyuki Sanada, Sasuke, Takakage Kobayakawa

You can't reroll treasures currently, so some heroes requiring a certain one for 50% Attack & Defense is inconsistent. Same for peach item drops.

Summon skills that are eligible to get their count increased by 4/8/16 Wisdom can be really lethal, so I factored in the summon skill damage/formation slot bonus ones. My favorites are April Showers (Xiahou Yuan), Soaring Blade (Yue Jin), or Dazzling Bullets (Xun Yu) when using Sima Yi and a Wei/Ice build (Cao Pi, Cao Cao, Xiahou Dun), especially with 12 Charm + Red Hare/Matsukaze for 100% cooldown reduction or during Assemble.
