IMO the solution to getting it is dumb. The 2nd one you have to carry a pellet and that keeps the door open? Why? I mean I understand the pellet emitter is "in use" in a way. But how was I supposed to know the door would work like that?

It reminds me of shooting doors or switches in Doom, for progression OR secrets. So arbitrary.

There's no special logic for it. The rules are consistent. If you don't carry the pellet with you, a new one will spawn and destroy the cube keeping the door open. The only special logic is the dialogue that plays when you press the button and the door is already closed.

Oh, wasn't expecting a comment from the developer. Loved the mod. A lot more then the one I'm playing now, Portal Prelude. Once done with it's bonus maps and challenges, going to move on to more Portal 1 & 2 maps/mods.

Well, aren't I the fool. That makes a lot more sense. I'm an idiot. I remember the door closing just as I crossed it, and that made me think it was due to me leaving the room. Thank you for the correction author.
yea... this challenge is so unique and smaart. i luvd it!!!

actually now wonder... does portals extend orb life in original portal?? i never tried and think never needed...
