Portal and New Source Engine

Earlier this year, I read that Valve has updated Portal to the new source engine for Portal. I can play the game at 3840x2160 and the subtitle text is large enough for me to read. For Rexaura, this game is not optimized for 4K, yet when I look at the grating in chamber 0 at 4K, the quality is very high and does not look pixelated compared to 1920x1080. But the text is very tiny and is very difficult for me to read.

Would it be possible if the developers of Rexaura could copy the source engine from Portal and have it in Rexaura? For Linux users, Portal's new source engine makes use of DXVK (DirectX-to-Vulkan translation) and also supports Steam Deck even though I do not have one and the 7" 16x10 screen would be too small for me anyway.
