Of course somethign on our own wishlist, but we wanted to creat the best possible SP experience first. Won't say MP is coming unless we're absolutely sure.
You will need to add multiplayer if you want my money!

Same than I am the liquor.

The game is awesome on is own right now. I already recommend it to a friend of mine and he will buy it in the next few days.

Sure, I can't wait to play with him, both in cooperation and against him, but for now it's really good to be able to play the solo part and at the same time, contribute to polish this game in order to get a flawless experience until the multiplayer come.

Create a last stand mode, come on, do it! Waves upon waves upon waves of increasingly powerful baddies. 5 player co-op, each man a member of the squad, each with a speciality - let's do it!

I am mostly playing single-player games, but I am quite surprised Ascension does not come with multiplayer. It's a prime field for that, given its boardgame inspiration.

game is really fun, co-op would be amazing!

All my friends who don't love 40k ended up not buyying this because of the lack of any form of multiplayer. I would have loved a co-op mode where the 10 man missions could be divided over a 5 man squad for each player. So many new game mode potentials with that.

Some games are just not meant to have multiplayer. I kinda think co-op would be more confusing than fun in this game.

I agree some games aren't meant to have multiplayer, but Space Hulk is recommended to be played with 2 players. Don't get me wrong, I am glad they didn't force mutli-player as I am heavily focused on single-player aspects of many games I play, but in this situation I think I would enjoy multiplayer even more than single-player. I am not sure why it wasn't possible to implement it. I mean, most of the works is already in there.

Because in a technical sense, none of the work is already there. The entire interface and deployment structure would need to be changed, and netcode which supports multiplay would need to be built from the ground up. Ascension might look similiar to the Digitial Boardgame, but it actually is almost entirely new code; fully two-thirds of which, including the meshes for the terminators, is incompatible.

And since the co-op specific DLC for the Space Hulk Digitial boardgame was an absolute flop, with far fewer actual purchases than the fan-base who asked for it promised there would be, it was deemed that this game should focus on polishing the Single-player aspect strictly from a standpoint of available resources.

It basically comes down to the simple fact that there wasn't enough money to risk developing multiplayer for Ascension because Full Control got burned by the vocal minority who requested it once before. They just didn't want to make the same mistake twice.
