Heavy flamer flames
I cant seem to be able to shoot at a genestealer who managed to survive a flamer, but still inside the flames. Other than spending another flamer ammunition round, anything else i can do?.

This has always been the case as long as I've played. No, you cannot shoot through flames, but stealers won't move through flames either, so you could also just wait a round and finish him off then.

GS won't go _into_ flames, but they'll try to get out, i.e. they can move while in flames. Unhappily for them every move in flames is another check (around 80% to fail?) to survive. Broodlords are immune to flames at all. There is a pretty good guide around here, check it.

i got pulled to the edge of the flames by one of the tentacled mutations and killed (not by the flames)

You should be able to shoot into the flaming itles on the edge of the fire, you (and the GS) can definitely melee inside the flames, IIRC you can also shoot the adjacent tile when inside the flames. Anyone (including the Flesh Hook GS in your example) can shoot outwards from the edge of the fire while on a burning tile.

If you want to shoot into flames from the outside, you can only do that with AoE templates that can reach into the flames by targetting a tile outside the flames. Psychic powers that don't require line of sight can be used on targets surrounded by flames,

Attacks that can spread to more than one target like plasma bolts and the SW Runepriest lightning will also strike targets on burning tilest hat they could not have targetted directly.

With regard to movement, Broodlords used to move through burning tiles with impunity, this was changed with the Salamanders DLC/patch, to where they stop in frnot of burning tiles, making them a much more manageable threat.

How do you even kill broodlords? I had this issue on my Space Wolves campaign where I kept encoutering BLs and they shrugged off everything including that Specially built Astarte toilet...

Several bolters on overwatch usually do the trick. If that fails flank them with melee, get a guy on the rear or a side and attack once. When it turns to face your guy move another in to attack the other side. Never melee face to face though, genesteals roll more dice and usually win. They can't counter attack hits in the rear or side though.

You'll need fairly high Ballistic Skill to score reliable hits against Broodlords, after that, they go down quickly even to bolter fire. They're also slow, and you can slow them even further with suppression fire.

Once you gain access to Assault Cannons, those will be your first choice for Broodlord disposal.

Late-game, the Broodlord Slayer perk will make them easier to deal with, and any kind of +dmg weapon upgrade will have the same effect, and you can of course combine the two for glorious overkill should you want to.
