Experiencing tentacle difficulties? Check here first!
The game is running slowly!

First, make sure your machine is within the minimum specifications. If not, the game will still run, but you will probably have to play the game at a lower resolution and/or in windowed mode.

You can also try lowering the other graphics settings in the menu.

I have a dual GPU laptop, and the game is running slowly!

Sometimes laptops and other dual GPU machines will default to running the game on its integrated graphics processor. You'll want to override this setting to make sure the game is using the full power of the GPU.

Windows:

1. Go to the NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD equivalent (If you don't know where it is, search for it on Windows)
2. Click on 'Manage 3D settings'
3. If Airscape (nw.exe) is not present on the list of apps, click 'browse' and browse to nw.exe in the game directory.
4. Select 'High performance processor' or equivalent and apply.

Mac:

For older machines, follow these steps.[support.apple.com]
We're still figuring out the best way to go about it for newer machines, but there are a number of third party utilities you can use.

Linux:

Try these steps.

More to come soon!

'Auto' resolution will run at the monitor's native resolution.
Grizzle Jul 21, 2016 @ 5:16pm
when i set auto the screen doesn't flicker like it does when i change to any other resolution. so when i switch from what ever the one below auto is to auto i get no flicker like i do with every other resolution change
Grizzle Jul 21, 2016 @ 5:18pm
is there an ini file or something where i can force a resolution? i guess it doesnt really matter that much since it looks pretty good in the resolution it is in anyway.

Great, great game. Full of little flaws here and there, but still a wonderful game, with a surprising classic feel to it, unusual in our modern times. BUT! That's not why I am here: I am stuck at the end credits, when I swim with the school of fish, after the thank you for playing message I disappear but the camera follows my movement and ends up in the rocks...

Sorry, the direction could be much better in that part (lack of time for playtesting!)
You need to swim to the left (from where you came in) and you will find a cave.

Hey Daniel, thanks a lot for the quick support (so let me get things straight: not only you dare creating a brilliant, unique and personal indie game in total opposition with current tendancies, but moreover you take the time yourself to do the hotline... unbelievable, you sir are not only an aussie but a mad man too).

I found out previously this afternoon another sneaky way: start, menu, back to the map, final boss is validated... ^^ and then wow what the hell? 17th world!? you devil you...
But anyway thank you for that.

Heh, I look over the forum every now and then and you had just happened to have commented right before I did my rounds :)

And yeah, going back to map works fine during the credits. I'm glad you're enjoying the game!

My game crashes back to dekstop without any message. I happens at the very beginning when the beam pulls you up or when you get dropped after that, but not later.
Any ideas?

The listed system requirements for CPU seem to be inconsistent - "Intel i5" for Mac and Linux, and "1.4GHz processor or faster" for Windows.
I'm running Windows 10 on an AMD dual core 1.7GHz laptop with 4GB ram, and I barely get 30fps at max settings. Lowering the graphics settings and playing in a 640x360 window doesn't give a significant performance improvement (but it looks terrible).
I'm enjoying the game so far, so I hope it continues to be playable till the end.

Edit: After a while on some levels, the game slows down further and the sound starts to stutter and eventually disappear. I think the system requirements on the store page should be updated - suggesting that this game can be run on a single-core 1.4GHz CPU with 2GB ram and integrated graphics is a bit of a stretch.

I have the same problem as the gentleman before me... The game runs fine and smooth for a while on most levels (except for those with a lot of stuff going on the screen). That is, until you start dying a lot on the same level, then everything begins to lag and the audio begins to stutter. The only thing that seems to temporarily "fix" this is exiting back to the map and then reentering a level. Do you have any explanation for this?

Also, I can't seem to find that menu in my graphics card control center to include to make the game run using the dedicated graphics card... Can anyone help? I'm unsure whether it is running on my integrated card or my dedicated one. My dedicated card is a AMD Radeon R7 M265 and my laptop is quite good and high end, but I can't be arsed to find and post the other specs for now.

Sorry, I didn't see this post until just now.

It seems like the company who now handles the Steam Store page has gone ahead and changed the original minimum steam specs. I've gone ahead and contacted them to change it back - those minspecs are wrong as the game can only run decently on newer/more powerful integrated chips.

As for the audio stuttering - that's a bug that unfortunately I have not been able to fix after repeated attempts. It's usually fixed after going back to the map so hopefully it's not gamebreaking for you.

If you're not satisfied with these responses, please do feel free to request a refund.

I haven't had much experience with AMD machines I'm afraid, so I can't be much help here. You should be able to tell if the game is using integrated graphics by checking your GPU usage (if AMD provides such utilities) while the game is running.

Some people have experienced this issue. Unfortunately for the moment the best solution is to restart the game when it occurs.

Also, in Zone 3 the game got Soundless, but when I paused the game music played in the pause screen, lefted the pause screen, no sound, maybe a Bug in the Play/Pause music script on the pause Screen?
