keep getting an error

I can't find any fixes, but I keep getting a steam startup error with code B9999? Is this being worked on, is it server side, or is there something I can do to fix it? Already tried validating, restarting steam, restarting my pc, deleting xtrap, etc.

I kept getting this message for about a month, could not find any solution. So checked out the settings. Under the networking tab in settings the box for "Use Proxy during Patch Download" was checked. I unchecked that which resolved the problem for me.
