Playing with friends

I just finished all the schools, and changed my ship to Nao, I find this game ultimately boring, but at the same time can't seem to put it down. There's one thing game doesn't really explain though. How does playing with other people look? I have been soloing everything up till now, and since I'm adventure, I don't really see the need to party, but if I wanted to play with some of my friends how does it go? Can we just share quest and do one together? What if I'm an archeologist, and he wants to raise shipwrecks? Or if I was playing with trade/marittime oriented friend? Do we still get to do our stuff together somehow?

You can share quests if you fleet with your friends and you all take it. Share skills to complete the quests as well. You can help eachother do shipwrecks (if you both have salvage to raise your own), as well as invite others to explore inside. I'd encourage a good active company (guild) as there are many veteran players who can answer questions and show you the ropes as well. Have fun!! :)
