Personally I like the tension of the auto-switching camera (I'm playing the first Resident Evil again over my holiday break and am reminded how auto-camera switching builds the tension), but I understand if it's not for everyone.
Thanks for the reply and have a nice day
What would make the most sense to me, is if it only automatically switches if the most recent camera selected was the "closest to Hope" - and even then, maybe only automatically change if the most recent change was either automatic or by pressing the button to select "Hope's camera" (L3 on controller). That way the player doesn't accidentally change from Manual to Automatic when Hope gets near the chosen camera. If trying to control Hope through a wall or two, a little prompt reminding us of that button would be fine.
There are sections where Hope moves from the area of one camera network, and enters a new area. I... honestly wouldn't have a preference for how this is handled. Whether the player has to press L3 (or keyboard equivalent) during this "Manual mode", or the player is forced into "Automatic mode" in these parts, I don't think there's one way that would be better than the other. For other situations, though, my preference is pretty firm.
I'll try to push through and enjoy the game, but I can only think that I'd get frustrated later due to it all
Good Luck & Have Fun
also: wow this is a necro-thread haha i had actually forgotten about this game so long ago was the last post to this thread. glad to see the game is still getting some play though, i definitely enjoyed it even if i never finished it (in part because of this bug, and others).
But damn the auto switching cameras are awful. I dont understand why we cant just toggle it on or off.
