how to know when to swing

it feels like even if i swing perfectly the ball will just go through the bat i dont really understand what im doing wrong

Seems odd-but try playing on hard mode. Easy mode tries to make you hit the ball regardless of when you click which leads to some really wonky swing times (Keisha and Dante are good examples of this). In hard mode, the batter swings exactly when you click.

that works much better but still sometimes it feels like i hit but it just dosent register (mainly on the corners)

Corners are indeed harder to hit. Making sure you have the proper facing also increases your chance of making contact; open for inside balls, square for over the plate, and closed for outside balls. It actually doesn't matter in the slightest WHERE you click, so start each pitch in either closed or open stance, see where it's going, correct your stance, and swing away. Every single character has a different swing timer/animation and unfortunately you just have to get used to that.

ok i was just wondering if it was like a error system where the kids just missed sometimes
