i played alot of baseball games but why it feels like you have 1% chance youre hitting the ball? is the game known to play like that?

You know how the mouse cursor is a big arrow and the spot you're actually interacting with is the very tip of the arrow? That spot, when batting, is the "sweet spot" crescent carving in the middle of the bat, not the tip end of the bat cursor.

Tried my best to take a screenshot with steam, but this game doesn't support the steam overlay, and prntscrn key doesn't capture the cursor, so
